It’s official: Knoxville has been placed under a winter storm warning ahead of Friday’s expected snowstorm.
From Memphis to Mountain City, Tennessee is forecast to get blanketed with several inches of snow, according to the National Weather Service. The storm will bring “widespread snow accumulations” with a mixture of sleet and freezing rain possible south of Interstate 40 with “light ice accumulation possible.”
The storm will create slick and potentially hazardous road conditions on Friday and Saturday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
