SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Sevier County officials said Thursday that an auto parts manufacturer will halt operations at its Sevierville facility, impacting more than 170 workers.
The county shared that Tenneco has operated in the area since the 1980s. The plant is located at 128 River Bend Drive in Sevierville.
“This news is incredibly disappointing for our community. Tenneco has been a staple in Sevier County for decades, and our thoughts are with the more than 170 employees and their families who are impacted by their decision,” said Sevier County Mayor Larry Waters. “Our main priority now is to ensure that those affected have the support they need.”…
