KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — The Tennessee Highway Patrol released a sketch of an unidentified woman found lying in the emergency lane of Interstate 40 in Roane County .
The woman was found on Sunday, October 13 at mile marker 341 , approximately one mile east of Exit 340 to Rockwood Municipal Airport Road. She was taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center where she later succumbed to her injuries, according to THP.

The Black woman is between 5’3″ to 5’5″ and was approximately 38 years old. She weighed about 170-175 pounds, had a mole on the bridge of her nose, and had no tattoos. THP is asking anyone with information that could identify the woman to call the Knoxville District Dispatch Center at 865-544-3380, option 0.
