West Lafayette Has a New Police Chief

WEST LAFAYETTE Ind. (WLFI) – West Lafayette has a new police chief. Mayor Erin Easter announced today she is promoting Captain Adam Ferguson.

She says with more than 24 years of dedicated service to the West Lafayette Police Department, Captain Ferguson brings a wealth of experience, leadership, and community-focused values to this role.

His career in law enforcement spans more than two decades, during which he has held various leadership roles, including Patrol Captain, Patrol Lieutenant, and Patrol Sergeant. He is particularly proud of his 22 years on the department’s Special Response Team while recognizing the importance of his other roles in shaping his career…
