Lemus’ Late Goal Lifts Men’s Soccer Over LaGrange

LAGRANGE, Ga. – Jorge Lemus scored the eventual game-winning goal late in the second half as William Peace topped LaGrange 2-1 on the road in men’s soccer Saturday.

Lemus scored on Nathan Cochran’s assist with just under 15 minutes remaining. The victory was a nice start to a two-game weekend road trip, which includes a matchup against Piedmont in Demorest, Ga., on Sunday at 1 p.m.

“It was a good gritty win for the team,” WPU Head Coach Ryan Huber said. “LaGrange is a really hard working team that’s difficult to break down, but I’m really proud of how the guys battled together to get a good road win!”…
