Yamaha employees build wheelchair ramp during production downtime

When a typhoon disrupted parts supply from a Yamaha plant in Taiwan, temporarily halting operations at Yamaha Motor Manufacturing Company (YMMC) in Newnan, employees didn’t sit idle. Instead of furloughing workers, the company paid employees for a day of community service.
