Just as the animated feature “Moana 2” is set to open at Thanksgiving, Valverde School of Performing Arts will bring the original story to the stage — with a twist.
“Moana Jr.” premieres at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25, and runs through Sunday, Oct. 27, at Steelworkers Auditorium, 8437 Sierra Avenue. Tickets are $15.
This musical-adventure performance is a collaboration between the city’s Youth Community Theater program and the Valverde school. The play will feature 58 performers from ages 8 to 17. There will be a mix of dancing and singing in different languages…
