Mike Tressel’s defense was solid once again, holding the Wildcats to 209 yards of offense, 82 yards of passing, and zero touchdowns. Except for dual-threat quarterback Jack Lausch carrying the football, Northwestern never could get into any rhythm on offense. Credit the Wisconsin defense for making it a frustrating day for the Wildcats.
While the Badgers got the win, plenty of mistakes could have swung the momentum to the Wildcats. Braedyn Locke had two turnovers, the Badger defense missed several tackles on carries by Jack Lausch, and Nathaniel Vakos had a field goal blocked.
