37-year-old woman and dog die in Pontiac house fire, death has been ruled accidental: sheriff

PONTIAC (WWJ) — A Pontiac woman died in a house fire over the weekend, along with a dog, according to investigators.

The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, along with Waterford firefighters, responded just after 1 p.m. Sunday to the house in the 600 block of Raskob, near Joslyn Ave., after an acquaintance called the resident and became concerned when she didn’t respond.

When deputies arrived, 37-year-old woman Lakeisha Arnae Moton was found unresponsive in the hallway, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A dog that was in a kennel in the home also died in the fire, according to the sheriff’s office…
