Flint area servers hold roundtable to save tips

FLINT, Mich. – Flint servers and bartenders met at a Buffalo Wild Wings to rally behind legislation that would prevent tip credits from being phased out in February.

The roundtable event, organized by Save MI Tips, hosted state representatives David Martin and Jasper R. Martus who spoke at the event.

“Well, because people that are not in this industry are the ones that enact that the laws take away from us and affect in February, we all don’t want it. No servers want it. We care about our customers, our hospitality, the relationship we just really don’t want to this to go through,” said Lacie Ellithorpe, a server from the Flint area…
