LINDEN, MI — Four mid-Michigan employers closed operations or announced worker layoffs in 2024, state documents showed.
Officials with the four businesses reported the closures and layoffs via the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (commonly referenced as WARN) Act of 1988, a federal law that applies to businesses with 100 or more employees. The report does not include layoffs involving businesses that do not meet the WARN Act criteria.
