With 4.5 seconds left on the clock against Glacier Peak, W.F. West coach Kyle Karnofski called a timeout. He knew that the Bearcats would have enough time to run a play, one that could win them the game if executed properly.
After the timeout was over, the Bearcats executed the call to perfection. Working off a screen from Julia Dalan, Dilyn Boeck kicked the ball out to an open Rhylee Beebe, who drained a buzzer-beating three-pointer to give W.F. West a 53-50 win in its final game at the Top of the Peak Tournament.
“To hit a buzzer beater, that’s kind of what you do as a kid in the backyard,” Karnofski said. “Rhylee stepped up and knocked it down … It was really cool for her to get that opportunity. She played really well in all three games, and that was kind of the final stamp on it.”…
