NEW RIVER, Ariz. An Arizona animal rescue and nonprofit is fundraising and collecting donations for the Palisades Fire victims in southern California.

One Step Wild Burros and Mustang Rescue said on Facebook that it’s collecting donations for the victims, including animals, and will be making a trip over to California in a week to deliver them.

“We successfully did this for the Malibu fire a few years ago and it was an incredible achievement! As some of you know, I have family and friends in this area and it’s my hometown, so this cause is particularly close to my heart,” the nonprofit’s post said.
