Stormy Weekend for California’s Sacramento Valley: Rain, Winds, and Snow on the Way

Northern California braces for an active weekend as rain, gusty winds, and mountain snow impact the region. Redding has already recorded 0.75 inches of rain in the last 24 hours, with more on the way. Snow levels remain high today, hovering around 8,000 feet, but a fresh wave of rain and snow is set to arrive overnight.

The northern Sacramento Valley, foothills, and mountains could see an additional 1 to 2.25 inches of rain, with up to a foot of snow in higher elevations. Gusty southerly winds, reaching up to 50 mph, will peak Sunday, prompting a Wind Advisory.
