“Brave the Dark,” a feature film about the late Garden Spot High School teacher Stan Deen, had an invite-only hometown premiere Saturday night at the Fulton Theatre with more than 600 cast, crew, investors and community members in attendance.
“Brave the Dark” is based on a true story about the impact Stan Deen had on student Nate Busko (now Nate Deen, after changing his name in honor of Stan Deen). Jared Harris, of “Chernobyl” and “Mad Men,” performs as Stan Deen, and Nicholas Hamilton, of “It” and “Captain Fantastic,” plays Nate Williams. Much of the film was produced and filmed in Lancaster County.
Director Damian Harris and actors Jared Harris and Hamilton were not in attendance for the premiere…
