LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – Local school districts are still struggling to find teachers, but experts say progress is being made.

Lansing School District‘s Staffing Supervisor, Andrew Utter, says while the district has made some positive progress, it still faces challenges in hiring and keeping teachers.

The Michigan Department of Education reported more people enrolling in their teacher preparation program. They say it’s spiked 71 percent in the past six years…
