Alexander aims for second straight district title

With just three games left in the regular high school volleyball season, local teams are jockeying for playoff positions. In District 30-6A, Alexander is looking to secure its second consecutive district title when it hosts LBJ on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

If Alexander wins against LBJ on Tuesday, the Lady Bulldogs will become the District 30-6A champions and earn the No. 1 seed in the postseason.

“Tuesday is our last district home match. Our kids have been resilient all season, expecting everyone’s best game,” Alexander head coach Ari Bermea-Mendoza said. “Our senior leadership has really helped us push through some good battles, and our underclassmen have stepped up at big moments. We know what’s at stake, and we continue to remind ourselves to focus on the game in front of us and enjoy the moment.”…
