Fentanyl overdose deaths in decline, officials say

LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) – Laredo, along with communities across the country, had experienced a rise in overdose deaths related to opioids with 2024 breaking the mold.

Within the past years, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), has consistently reported a rise in overdose deaths in Texas.
