Laredo Crime Stoppers hosted its 29th annual Menudo Bowl on Saturday at the 1848 Event Center, dishing out a flavorful mix of community spirit and friendly rivalry. Since the Menudo Bowl’s inception in the mid-1990s, the event has been more than just a cook-off — it’s a vital fundraiser bolstering Laredo Crime Stoppers’ mission to foster a community offensive against crime.
The day offered more than just mouthwatering menudo. New attractions, including a car show and dance and cheer competitions, highlighted the community’s diverse talents. Additionally, the escaramuza charra showcased the grace and skill of traditional Mexican equestrian sports, capturing the hearts of many attendees.
