Texas Division of Emergency Management sent additional personal to California fires

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Texas Division of Emergency Management announced that it has sent additional emergency management personnel to help with wildfire response and recovery efforts in California.

This response is following a request from the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection through the California Office of Emergency Services.

“As wildfire response efforts continue in California, state disaster recovery personnel have deployed to support our fellow Americans as they begin to recover,” said Texas Emergency Management Chief Nim Kidd. “Please join me in thanking the first responders and emergency management personnel working around the clock to support those impacted by these devastating wildfires.”

TDEM detailed that state disaster recovery personnel will help California’s wildfire recovery efforts including mass care and sheltering, navigation of federal assistance programs, volunteer management, and other immediate and long-term recovery efforts…
