The Publix website on Tuesday showed several of its Southeast U.S. stores along the path of Hurricane Helene as having “modified hours” from Florida to North Carolina.
Publix announced late Monday that its Publix Super Markets Charities would donate $1 million to support relief efforts by nonprofit organizations in areas devastated by the wind and rain of Helene.
The grocer also activated a companywide donation campaign to allow customers and its employees to help people affected by the storm, Publix said in a news release Monday. Donations may be made in any amount at checkout. The end date of the campaign will be based on customer response…
