Las Cruces City Council delayed consideration of a resolution addressing a violation of state transparency law during the selection process of City Manager Ikani Taumoepeau last year .
Mayor Eric Enriquez started City Council’s first regular meeting of 2025 by delaying consideration of the resolution, which would have addressed violations identified during an investigation by the New Mexico Department of Justice.
