We’re continuing on our road trip across the country with Matt Davis and in this segment, he is giving us some of his top recommendations when traveling through the states of Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico.
When driving through Oklahoma, Davis recommends trying fried pies. They are yummy pies which he compares to the Hostess brand, and they are usually made fresh in a variety of flavors. When heading into Texas, he recommends checking out the Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo and notes there are a bunch of other bizarre scenes when driving along the Oklahoma and Texas regions. Also in Texas is the Guadalupe National Park. From there, we head into New Mexico to see the White Sands National Monument, which we see beautiful photos and examples of in our interview with Davis. While in New Mexico, he recommends trying something made with their authentic blue corn and also recommends trying stuffed sopapillas.
