LAS CRUCES, N.M. (KRQE) – There was a special ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday, which officially opened Las Cruces artist Kathy Morrow’s rock art display at the New Mexico State University golf course.
New Mexico artist continues mural after being asked to move it
The project took over 130 volunteers, eight years, two locations and a bunch of rock. “I think I’m never done. I’ll just keep working as needed pulling weeds” Morrow said, “I’ve been taking three hours out of my day, six days a week to work on rocks. Now, I have that time back to put into my artwork.”
