Embarrassing loss vs. Raiders shows Jaguars must fire Doug Pederson, clean house

The Jacksonville Jaguars have somehow managed to sink even lower this season with a 19-14 loss against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 16. Throughout the game, they’ve looked unprepared and uninspired. That’s a reflection of Doug Pederson, who’s failed to get the Jags back on track and progressively lost grasp of the team. This should give owner Shad Khan an easy decision to make.

The Jaguars were dreadful on both sides of the ball. On offense, wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. became the first rookie receiver in team history to cross the 1,000-yard mark. However, the feat felt like a footnote in what was a discouraging performance.

Mac Jones had a chance to raise his stock but was instead underwhelming aside from the 62-yard throw to Thomas, going 25 of 39 for 247 yards with one touchdown. Although he didn’t have an interception, he was nearly picked off by K’Lavon Chaisson…
