At least one family displaced after Silver Spring apartment fire

MONTGOMERY COUNT, Md. ( DC News Now ) — At least one family was left without a home on Christmas Eve after a fire broke out at the Nob Hill Apartment Homes in Silver Spring.

In a post on X , Pete Piringer, with the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS), said that around 6:45 p.m., crews were called to the apartment complex in the 9200 block of Piney Branch Road, near New Hampshire Avenue for a fire.

Piringer said when first responders arrived, they found a fire inside a three-story apartment building.
