Rebuilding of Baltimore’s Francis Scott Key Bridge will begin this month

Rebuilding efforts for the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore will begin in January after nine months of planning and negotiation.

The Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, Maryland collapsed in the early morning hours of March 26th, 2024 after a large cargo ship crashed into the structure, sending a large portion of the bridge into the Patapsco River.

According to Washington Post , work crews are scheduled to begin underwater surveys on January 7th. Demolition of the remaining bridge structure will begin this spring. The entire construction project is expected to take years…
