A First Alert Weather Day has been declared for this evening due to the threat of severe weather in the Pine Belt.
WHAT TO EXPECT: A squall line will move through the area on this evening, bringing with it the threat of damaging winds in excess of 60 mph and possibility of a brief tornado or two. The entire pine belt is under a Level 2 Low Threat for severe weather. The Storm Prediction Center has placed a Level 3 Medium threat for severe weather for areas west of I-55 across northeast Louisiana and western Mississippi. That is where the greatest risk for severe weather is expected today.
