CHELMSFORD, Mass. (WWLP) – In Chelmsford, a hawk needed some help after it got stuck in the grill of an SUV.

Troopers were called to a rest stop off of I-495 north to find the helpless bird in the grill of the driver’s Honda SUV, according to our NBC affiliate WJAR. They were assisted by the Massachusetts Environment Police and Chelmsford Animal Control.
The hawk was eventually freed, and police say that it did not appear to be injured. It was then taken to the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University for evaluation.
