Mayor and council seats expected to see pay raise in hopes to motivate youth into running for office

LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) – The Mayor and City Council seats will be receiving a $5,000 pay increase after the motion to approve was made during the last council meeting of the year.

This raise would bring the Mayor salary to $20,000 and the council seats to $10,000. However, there is an $2,500 for the Mayor Pro Tem in addition to the council salary.
