The Butler County Coroner’s Office has identified the body found near Garfield Middle School in Hamilton as Norman Keith Jackson, a 62-year-old resident of the area. His body was discovered last Thursday in a treeline adjacent to the school’s grounds by a custodian, as reported by The Enquirer. Jackson was pronounced dead just before 2 p.m., according to an incident report.
An autopsy is scheduled to determine Jackson’s cause of death, which is currently listed as “pending investigation” by officials. The location where the body was discovered, while close to school property, is not under the jurisdiction of Hamilton City School District, which has been confirmed by Superintendent Mike Holbrook in a statement obtained by WCPO.
