Spots for enjoying outdoor recreation in the Lehigh Valley are sharing in nearly $80 million of grants awarded across Pennsylvania.

One big winner in the Community Conservation Partnerships Program grant release is Upper Mount Bethel Township, home to two parks sharing in more than $1 million in funding for improvements.

“These grants bring transformative opportunities to our community by preserving our natural spaces and creating vibrant parks and trails that foster both recreation and environmental stewardship,” state Rep. Ann Flood, R-Northampton, said in a news release announcing the local shares…
