A Leesburg woman was pronounced dead Monday following a fatal collision in Groveland, leaving the other driver hospitalized with injuries.
The 36-year-old driver of a 2008 Chevrolet HHR was traveling southbound on County Road 33 approaching Soto Road at 12:13 p.m., according to a press release from the Florida Highway Patrol. The other involved driver, a 43-year-old woman from Mascotte, was traveling northbound on County Road 33 approaching Soto Road in a 2015 Ford Fusion.
The Leesburg woman failed to maintain her lane and came into the direct path of the Ford Fusion. As a result, the front left of the Chevrolet collided with the front left of the Ford Fusion, the release said…
