FORT MYERS, Fla. – Winners of two-straight tournaments to start the year, No. 32 Florida Gulf Coast University will take part in its first three-day event of the season as it heads to Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, for the Diamante Intercollegiate, hosted by Little Rock. Three rounds will take place, with a single round on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
The Eagles are the highest ranked team in the event according to the first National College Golf Rankings Powered by Clippd. Other schools taking part in the 18 team event include No. 57 Boston College, No. 11 Oral Roberts, Atlantic Sun Conference foe and No. 120-ranked Central Arkansas, host and No. 125-ranked Little Rock, No. 129 Bradley, and No. 134 Missouri State.
FGCU last took to the course competitively Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 at the Pat Bradley Invitational in Doral. Playing in heat indexes over 105 degrees, the Eagles rolled to a 13-stroke win over the field.
