FORT MYERS, Fla. — The glory of donning medals and stepping up onto podiums is the holy grail in sports. Athletes flash their shiny hardware and the twinkle in their smiles. Everything seems to be perfect in their lives. But for some, it’s not the score that makes them feel successful.
“I was one of the faces of Indiana State diving,” said Bailey Betzer. “So I wanted to make sure that everybody could see how I looked, and I wanted to look the best for myself.”
Bailey Betzer is in her Eagle era now, spending her final year of eligibility diving for Florida Gulf Coast University. But her time at Indiana State wasn’t as bright as the Southwest Florida sunshine…
