South Carolina is one of three teams in all of college football that’s allowed 16 sacks so far this season, which is tied for worst in the country.
California and Colorado are also sitting on that total, but South Carolina’s lost more yards (127). Needless to say, that’s an area where the Gamecocks have to get better that way during the upcoming open week, but Shane Beamer certainly said it on Sunday night during his teleconference.
“Offensively, there’s no question about it, you can manipulate and tell yourself whatever you want, whenever it comes to stats and shape it to a narrative, positive or negative, but 16 sacks are 16 sacks,” Beamer said. “We’ve been sacked way too many times.”…
