Three children hospitalized after SUV, buggy crash

Three children were injured, two critically, in a crash involving an Amish buggy and an SUV around 8:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16, at the intersection of state routes 274 and 638.

Deputies from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report that the buggy, traveling along S.R. 638, attempted to turn north onto S.R. 274 but failed to yield to an SUV traveling east on S.R. 274.

Huntsville Fire and EMS along with BMRT squad responded to the scene. Two of the injured children were transported to Lima Memorial Hospital with critical injuries, while the third child was taken to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment of less severe injuries…
