(FOX40.COM) — A San Francisco carjacking ended in Sacramento County on Thursday night after a chase involving a shooting, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.
Sometime around 11 p.m., deputies noticed a vehicle in Rancho Cordova that had been reported stolen by the San Francisco Police Department earlier that day.

Near Winding Way and San Jouan Road, deputies attempted to stop the vehicle driven by a 34-year-old man when he accelerated away.
During the chase, deputies say the man lowered the driver-side window stuck a handgun out toward pursuing law enforcement and fired several rounds.
