Central New York elementary school closes due to carbon monoxide leak from faulty boiler

Durhamville, N.Y. — An elementary school in the Oneida City School District has been closed after a boiler malfunction caused a carbon monoxide leak.

The Oneida City School District was notified at 10 p.m. on Wednesday by their alarm monitoring system of a carbon monoxide alarm at Durhamville Elementary School, school officials said on the school’s website.

The Durhamville Fire Department and Oneida City Maintenance Department responded to clear the building of hazardous gas and found that the leak was due to a boiler malfunction…
