Lake effect snow impacts CNY Tuesday night. Find out how much and where it goes next!

As expect, heavy lake effect snow north of Oneida Lake and east of Lake Ontario has produced at least one to two feet of snow.

However, as a secondary cold front pushes through the area Tuesday night, the wind will shift from westerly to northwesterly. This will cause the band of heavy lake effect snow to sag south into the immediate Central New York area and eventually weaken to a spray of lighter snow showers and flurries by Wednesday morning.
