Syracuse man pleads guilty to selling 81 pounds of cocaine

Syracuse, N.Y. — A Syracuse man faces 15 years to life in federal prison after pleading guilty to selling 81 pounds of cocaine.

From at least February through July 10, John Cummings Jr. was a member of a drug trafficking organization operating in Syracuse, according to documents filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York.

On July 10, 2024, law enforcement searched Cummings Jr. residence in Syracuse and found 50 grams of cocaine, drug packaging materials and digital scales. They also seized $34,426 and a 9mm handgun, court documents said…
