SYRACUSE, NY (WSYR-TV)– The City of Syracuse is advancing its permitting process, by bringing in two engineering firms so they can supplement what its in-house reviewers perform.
Each year, the city issues between 4,000 and 5,000 permits, which includes over 200 commercial building permits. These commercial projects alone have a combined value of over $250 million annually, showing how quickly the City of Syracuse is expanding.

This collaboration with the third-party firms will help expedite the review process so more permits can be approved faster while also keeping projects on schedule.
