Chicago man awaits sentencing after pleading guilty to passing counterfeit bills in Jefferson City

A Chicago man arrested earlier this year for his part in a counterfeiting scheme in Cole County pleads guilty.

Tavion Young pleaded guilty Tuesday to one count of accessory to forgery. In exchange for his plea, three additional counts of the same charge were dismissed. Young will be sentenced January 21, 2025.
