Vintage warbirds and modern military aircraft took to the skies above Santa Maria for the annual Central Coast AirFest.

The action occurred Saturday and Sunday at the Santa Maria Public Airport where several hours of flights provided entertainment.

The event marked one of the final times to see the A-10 Thunderbolt II Demo Team perform as the Air Force preps to retire the aircraft affectionally known as “Warthog.”…
