A new safety study is underway on a 7.4-mile stretch of State Route 166 between Guadalupe and Santa Maria that seeks to identify potential safety and mobility investments needed on the corridor.
A key part of the study, which is funded by a Caltrans Sustainable Planning Grant, is a multilingual community survey and interactive mapping tool now available for public input on the project webpage.
Residents and travelers in the area are encouraged to share feedback, pinpoint specific areas of concern, and express how they utilize the route and surrounding local roads. The survey will be available for public feedback until Aug. 31, 2025…
