PADUCAH — As the remnants of Hurricane Helen make their way across the country, devastation has been left in the aftermath.
In response, several power cooperatives and The Salvation Army of Tennessee and Kentucky are sending aid to hurricane victims.
Jackson Purchase Energy Cooperative sent crews to northern Kentucky to help a sister company restore 190 power outages.
Paducah Power System crews are heading south to assist people in Greeneville, Tennessee, where a dam was in danger of failing.
