NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky might not be done with winter weather just yet.
While Middle Tennessee will get a brief warm-up for Sunday, much colder air is expected to arrive by the beginning of next week. Highs will drop from the low 40s on Sunday to the low 30s by Wednesday.
Each night, temperatures will drop below freezing which will keep a few icy spots around.
Attention is shifted to the next few weather makers, which look to be next weekend into the following week (January 18-24). While this is still 7-10 days out, models are hinting at a system moving into the mid-state by the weekend. Right now, temperatures look warm and rain is a good bet. However, there are some signs indicating that we could get more winter weather as well. A secondary system could be possible the week of the 20th, which could also bring winter weather…
