The Breakers Hotel in Long Beach —home of the famed Sky Room restaurant— reopens this week as the Fairmont Breakers Hotel . Bringing along new design elements but retaining much of its classic look, the resurrected locale has 185 guest rooms, including 22 suites that blend its historic past with new technology including access to touch panel beds and USB outlets. Built on Ocean Ave. in Long Beach, the luxury hotel is among the most iconic buildings in the city according to Julie Bartolotto, Historical Society of Long Beach’s executive director.
