Sentencing for suspects in Colorado rock-throwing case, killing one, delayed to 2025

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) – The sentencing for two suspects accused in a rock-throwing death in 2023 has been pushed back, according to our sister station CBS Colorado.

CBS Colorado said the sentencing for Nicholas “Mitch” Karol-Chik and Zachary Kwak has been scheduled for May 2025. They both reached plea agreements with Jefferson County prosecutors in May.

In April 2023, three teens, Joseph Koenig, Karol-Chik and Kwak, were arrested after being accused of throwing large landscaping rocks at vehicles in Boulder and Jefferson counties…
