High School Volleyball: Hallsville earns sweep against Nacogdoches with Slatens’s 12 kills

The Hallsville Lady Bobcats (21-13, 9-3) continued their tear of the Nacogdoches Lady Dragons (2-27, 0-10) after an easy 3-0 Class 5A Region II District 10 win. This win also marked the season series sweep over Nacogdoches.

As has been the trend all season, Hallsville completely overwhelmed Nacogdoches’ defense with their elite serving. On two separate sets, the first and third, they clinched the wins with a service ace.

As a team, Hallsville recorded 11 aces en route to their win. Leading the way in aces was Lilly Fry with nine. Fry showed exceptional ability in finding the gaps in the Lady Dragon’s defense and continued to serve in those open holes until their defense figured it out…
